Andria Spindel
President and Chief Executive Officer
Andria Spindel was recruited to Ontario March of Dimes in 1981 as Executive Director, and was appointed President and CEO in 2001. She began her career with a bachelor's degree in sociology and went on to teach in East Africa and the Northwest Territories (now Nunavut) before returning to the University of British Columbia to complete a Masters degree in Social Work.

Jerry Lucas
Vice President, Programs
Jerry has been with Ontario March of Dimes since 1979, initially working in community development with consumer groups in Southwest Ontario to improve transportation, community services and accessibility. He moved to provincial office as the first coordinator of Government Relations, and was appointed Regional Director for Toronto in 1983. Since 1985, Jerry has worked provincially as Director of Program Development and Planning, and more recently as Vice President of Programs. Jerry has a Masters degree in Urban and Social Planning as well as a diploma in Non-Profit Management.
Marcey Leggett
Vice President of Corporate Resources
In her role with March of Dimes, Marcey has responsibility for Finance & Administration, Information Technology and Human Resources as well as Ontario March of Dimes Non-Profit Housing Corporation and the Business Development portfolio. Prior to joining Ontario March of Dimes/March of Dimes Canada, Marcey held several Customer Service and Operations executive roles in the private sector including Rogers, Allstream and Bell Canada. Marcey also worked at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Marcey holds an Honours Bachelors of Commerce, has served on various volunteer boards and has attended many executive leadership development courses.
James Bird
Director of Human Resources
Jim Bird has been with Ontario March of Dimes since 2003. He came to the organization bringing his 25 plus years of Human Resources operational and consulting experience in professional service firms in real estate, accounting, consulting and security. Jim holds the CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation. He has an M.B.A. from McMaster University and completed the Strategic Management Program for Senior Human Resources Professionals at the Rotman School of Management. Jim has over 25 years of involvement in the community in not-for-profit organizations, both as a volunteer and a Board member.
Mary Lynne Stewart
Director of Fund Development and Communications
Prior to joining Ontario March of Dimes, Mary Lynne served as Director of Development for Christian Children’s Fund of Canada and established her own company (Mary Lynne Stewart & Associates Inc.) to work with many non-profit clients, including Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Hospital for Sick Children and the Canadian Liver Foundation. Mary Lynne has produced and directed a great number of short program commercials and over 20 major infomercial programs, and is recognized by her peers as one of the leading Canadian experts in the field of Direct Response TV.
Lee Harding
Director of Independent Living Services
Lee joined Ontario March of Dimes in 2000 and has over 35 years of experience in the health and Rehabilitation sectors. She started with OMOD as Director of Regional Operations and shifted to her current position of Director of Independent Living in 2005. She began her career as a registered nurse and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program from Schulich School of Business. She has held various positions with CNIB, Toronto General Hospital, VON and has volunteered extensively in Central and South America.
Judy Quillin
Director of Employment Services
Judy joined Ontario March of Dimes in 1999 as Director for Central Region, and was appointed Director of Employment Services in November 2005. Prior to joining OMOD, Judy spent 15 years within management in the non-profit charitable sector. She has worked in the former Yugoslavia and has held various positions within the Canadian Red Cross, including international delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross. Judy is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Gail Mores
Director of Programs
Gail has been with Ontario March of Dimes since December 2000. She was Regional Director for South Central Ontario until her appointment in December 2005 to her current role of Director of Programs for both Ontario March of Dimes and March of Dimes Canada. Gail has also worked with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Chapter and had an 11 year career with the Canadian Red Cross. Her Red Cross career also includes volunteering with the Society since the mid 1970’s in the Water Safety program. Over the years Gail has been actively involved in curriculum design and leadership development for Water Safety Instructors and Adapted Aquatics Instructors at the provincial level in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Ontario, and at the National level. Today Gail is a Master Instructor Trainer for the Water Safety Program and Chair of the First Aid and Water Safety Past Chairs Committee. Gail is originally from Nova Scotia and a graduate of Dalhousie University, McMaster University and the University of British Columbia with degrees and diplomas in Recreation Administration, Human Resources and Adult Education.
Debashish (Deb) Chakravorty
Director of Finance and Administration
Deb has many years experience in finance and administration, most recently with Exova Americas where he held the position of Corporate Controller. In this role, Deb was the lead controller for 4 companies, responsible for accounting, financial reporting, cash-flow management and budgeting. He has a number of years of international experience and holds both his CGA and CPA accounting designations.
Deb is very involved in the community, volunteering with the Toronto Calcutta Foundation and helping new Canadians find employment. Deb has a passion for the charity sector, and has solid non-profit financial experience, including three years at the Canadian Opera Company and two years at Canadian Crossroads International.
