Ontario March of Dimes was thrilled to open the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) on Monday January 8th to kick-off Ontario March of Dimes’ annual Door-to-Door Campaign.

In attendance were Richard Nesbitt, CEO of the TSX Group, Kevin Cowan, Senior Vice-President of the TSX Group, Andria Spindel, President and CEO of Ontario March of Dimes and Mary Lynne Stewart, Director of Fund Development and Communications for Ontario March of Dimes, along with various staff members from both organizations.

January is Ontario March of Dimes (OMOD) month. Every January the organization recruits over 13,000 volunteers who brave the winter cold and canvass door-to-door to raise funds for OMOD’s essential programs and services, benefiting people with physical disabilities.

2007 will be the 56th year of the door-to-door campaign. OMOD is hoping to raise over $1 million across Ontario, and help the thousands of Ontarians with physical disabilities, many of who have been waiting months or even years for the programs and services they need.

Ontario March of Dimes is the largest charitable rehabilitation organization in Ontario, providing a wide variety of programs and services to almost 37,000 people annually in 70 communities across the province. Ontario March of Dimes has operated for over 55 years delivering an array of services with a commitment to creating a society inclusive of people with disabilities.
