Every year, more than half a million babies are born too soon, 8,000 of them right here in Colorado. With your help, we work to improve the health of babies and support families if something does go wrong.
Through programs and services in communities across Colorado, we promote healthy pregnancies and babies, and work to prevent premature birth and birth defects. We educate moms and support families in need.
By raising funds, donating your talents or joining us in a local event, you make a positive difference in the health of babies and families in neighborhoods like yours. Learn how you can help and get involved today.
On Nov. 17, World Prematurity Day, Go Purple for Preemies to increase awareness about the seriousness of premature birth and the impact it has on your community. A few ways that you can participate:

- Ask your friends, family, staff and co-workers to wear purple to help bring attention to the issue of premature birth.
- Participate in Blue Jeans for Babies at your workplace.
- Post Go Purple for Preemies posters in your office to promote awareness.
- Use November as an opportunity for staff education (class, lunch and learn, bulletin board, etc.) on issues of prematurity.
